HOW MUCH IS THE WHOLE DEAL GONNA COST?


FAA requires a minimum 40 hours of flight training.


National average to complete private pilot rating is 60 hours.


Typical lessons are 1-2 hours long and hourly prices are pro-rated per tenth of an hour.


For example:

+ 1.1 aircraft @ $65/hour

+ 1.2 instructor @ $40/hour

= $71.50 + $44.00

*Simple physical exam. Note that some conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, felony convictions, DUI/DWI and/or documented substance abuse may delay or cause a denial of an aviation medical certificate.


**Renters insurance must be purchased before flying Country Air Aircraft 'solo'. Rate is based on minimum coverage of$35,000 aircraft damage liability and is good for an entire year and with any rental airplane anywhere.

HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE?


With calculations based on Two, 1-hour long lessons per week it will take 5 months to complete the curriculum.  Two 2-hour long lessons per week drops that to 2.5 months!
